Paintball is an active recreational sport. Our safety briefing, protective equipment and marshals are there to keep the experience controlled and enjoyable. Participants are expected to follow those instructions throughout play.
Normal play risks
Even with reasonable safety measures, paintball can involve impacts, bruising or welts, slips, trips and falls, uneven or wet surfaces, collisions, physical exertion, dehydration, equipment-related injury, and aggravation of a pre-existing condition. Eye or face injury risk increases significantly if required protective equipment is removed or misused in a live-fire area.
Following the briefing
Participants must keep required approved face and eye protection in place wherever instructed, use markers and other equipment only as demonstrated, follow marshal/referee calls promptly, and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment before continuing play.
Respectful play
Headshot is a shared recreational space. Deliberately unsafe shooting, physical aggression, abusive or threatening behaviour, intentional equipment misuse, repeated refusal to follow arena instructions, or conduct that creates an unreasonable risk for another participant may result in play being paused or refused.
Participant responsibility
Where injury, loss or damage is caused by a participant’s own deliberate rule violation, reckless conduct, equipment misuse, removal of required protective equipment, or refusal to follow reasonable safety instructions, responsibility for that conduct remains with the participant to the extent permitted by law.
Fitness to participate
Participants should decide whether they are reasonably fit to take part, disclose any concern that may affect safe participation where appropriate, and should not play while intoxicated or materially impaired.
Minors and guardian authority
A participant under 18 requires parent or lawful guardian consent where required by law or venue rules. A minor player must be managed through an adult account. The adult responsible for that managed player confirms that they are 18 or older and are the parent or lawful guardian, or have authority from the parent or lawful guardian to manage the minor’s participation under these terms.
Staff authority
For safety and respectful play, Headshot may pause a game, remove a participant from a round, refuse unsafe equipment, or refuse further participation where staff reasonably believe the rules or marshal instructions are not being followed. Any booking or payment issue arising from an ended session will be handled under the published booking/refund policy and applicable law.
Legal rights remain
By participating after the safety briefing, you acknowledge the ordinary risks that remain despite reasonable safety measures. Nothing in this policy removes any consumer right, duty of care, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
